ACAP Byron Bay and Brisbane campus will reopen at 8am Monday, 10 March as the severe weather caused by Cyclone Alfred starts to stabilise.
Following ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred, ACAP University College will reopen its Brisbane and Byron Bay campuses from Monday.
The campuses were closed from 5pm Tuesday 4 March 2025 in response to severe weather from Tropical Cyclone Alfred.
Brisbane and Byron Campuses suffered minimal damage, and will reopen to students and staff from Monday, with classes to resume on Tuesday.
Key Information:
- The ACAP Brisbane and Byron Bay Campuses will reopen to staff and students from 8am Monday 10 March.
- Campuses sustained minimal damage during ex-Tropical Cyclone Brisbane.
- The campus will be open with essential service staff for anyone who would like to come in.
- Students have been granted a one-week extension for any assessments due on the week of Monday 10 March.
Students and staff are reminded that their safety during this time is the top priority, and they should only attend campus if it is safe and they feel comfortable to leave your residence to do so.
While the campus has been assessed as safe to reopen, all staff and students should check the latest warnings in their areas and follow the advice of authorities.
