Overview
Cat has nearly 20 years business experience, working with large national and international enterprises where she held senior management positions in Organisational Development. Her expertise has been focused on understanding the inter-dependencies between leadership, culture and performance to help organisations achieve alignment with behaviours, systems, culture and organisational goals.
Her achievements include embedding an organisational wide leadership and cultural transformation program that received industry recognition and has extensive experience in designing and leading large-scale capability transformation projects. This sort of work provided Cat with the experience of leading change in a dynamic, fast moving and ambiguous environment. Her experience of leading diverse teams has provided Cat with firsthand knowledge of the challenges facing leaders in today’s complex world.
Cat started her career working with Australia’s largest bank where she became an accredited master coach, working with leaders across executive and divisional levels within retail and investment banking. The overarching purpose of her work was to further build leadership capability in service of driving business goals. As a facilitator and coach, Cat has helped clients within the government, legal, financial services, construction, and professional services sector to expand their leadership capability, navigating organisational change, uplifting team cohesiveness and enable leaders to optimise their strengths to achieve sustainable performance.
Cat’s most recent work has been focused in assisting leaders in broadening their leadership effectiveness by developing their reflective practice utilising action orientated feedback, and conversation practice. She has over 1,500 hours of coaching experience working with leaders in a variety of contexts including C-Suite executives, work life integration, team coaching and group coaching.
Cat’s style is to probe, support and challenge her clients, to enable them to build self-awareness and confidence to realise change. Her strength is holding individuals accountable to their commitments and facilitating behavioural change aligned to optimising performance. Cat is a firm believer in applying an evidence-based approach to her coaching practice.
In her spare time Cat enjoys martial arts and is a Black Belt and in training with her two children towards achieving her second Dan in Taekwondo. Cat regularly practices her culinary skills with friends and family. She featured in the SBS cooking show ‘The Chef’s Line’ where she won against two professional hatted chefs to win two ‘Chef Line’ trophies.
Research
Currently in the early stages of completing a Doctoral Degree at the University of Wollongong “exploring a social constructvist approach to leader development”.
Also interested in areas of research of “play” and it uses in executive coaching.
