Graduation Information
Graduation is an important milestone for each student and recognises the realisation of academic goals achieved through years of commitment, dedication and hard work. It is an opportunity to gather with family, friends and colleagues to celebrate and acknowledge the effort of all involved.
General Information
Due to venue capacities, there are ceremonies with capped guest numbers, please check with your campus.
Each ceremony will be live streamed over YouTube and details will be emailed to all Graduands to forward on.
Guest tickets are $45 each.
Any children attending the ceremony must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (not including the graduand) as child minding facilities are not available.
Children 2 & over will be required to have a ticket.
Professional photography will be available to you on the day of the ceremony.
Please visit the Graduation Photography website to pre-order your graduation photos, and save up to 25%.
Please note: Additional photography will be taken during the ceremony and may be used on internal LCD screens at ACAP campuses, in the ACAP Facebook Closed Groups and for future Graduation invitations. Please notify us at [email protected] if you wish to exclude photos of you from this use.
As a graduand, you are required to wear the full academic dress of the award you are graduating from at the ceremony.
Hiring Academic Dress:
Your academic dress is available for hire or purchase through Reed Graduations and is booked when you RSVP.
The cost associated with the hire of academic dress is $73.50 for all graduands.
Collection of Academic Dress:
Your academic dress will be available for pick up on the day of your ceremony from the ceremony venue.

Venue & Arrival
The Venue:
The Melbourne Graduation Ceremony will be held at the Melbourne Town Hall, 90-120 Swanston Street, Melbourne VIC 3000.
Accessibility:
Melbourne Town Hall is wheelchair accessible. Enter the venue via the Copper Doors which are situated on the left hand side when facing the main entrance of the Melbourne Town Hall, then take the lift to Level 1.
If you or your guests require accessibility access please advise the Graduation Team as soon as possible at [email protected].
Transport and Parking:
As street parking is limited, we recommend that you use public transporton the day of the ceremony.
If you would like to drive on the day Secure Parking or Wilson parking facilities are available in the CBD.
The Venue:
The Adelaide Graduation Ceremony will be held at the Hilton Hotel 233 Victoria Square, Adelaide SA 5000.

The Venue:
The Sydney Graduation Ceremony will be held at the Wesley Conference Centre, 220 Pitt Street, Sydney NSW 2000.
Accessibility:
The venue has a number of stairs to access the auditorium, however there is an escalator down to the foyer as well as a lift.
The auditorium has graded stairs to seating and two steps on to the stage (for graduands).

Transport and Parking:
As street parking is limited, we recommend that you use public transport on the day of the ceremony.
The closest stations are either Town Hall or St James. Buses from Circular Quay run along Elizabeth Street.
If you would like to drive on the day Secure Parking or Wilson parking facilities are available in the CBD.

The Perth Graduation Ceremony will be held at the Health Ledger Theatre, 174 – 176 William Street

On the Day Schedule
Schedule:
9am – Doors Open; you and your guests can register; you will collect and wear your regalia and you can participate in the pre-ceremony photography session (optional).
10.20am – Registration closed
10.30am – Photography concludes until after the ceremony; you must be gowned & seated in your designated seat at this time otherwise you will be unable to participate.
10.45am – Your Briefing / All guests must be seated.
11am – Ceremony commences with the Academic Procession.
12.20pm – Ceremony concludes with the Academic Procession,
12.30pm – Refreshments commence, second round of photography commences,
1pm – Refreshments and Photography concludes, and all regalia must be returned,
1.30pm – Close; all graduates and guests must exit the venue.
Please Note:
- You must register upon arrival at the venue where you will receive your seat number and gowning directions,
- You cannot take your bag or any personal items to your allocated seat, any items must be left with your guest or in the cloakroom,
- Your Regalia will only be available for collection from 9am at the Melbourne Town Hall, it cannot be collected earlier,
- You must arrive by 10.20am for you to participate,
- Professional Photography will be available before and after the ceremony,
- Your guests must be seated by 10.45am otherwise they will need to wait in the foyer until after the Academic Procession,
- There are no guest tickets that can be purchased on the day; all guest details are listed at the registration tables and
- You must return your academic dress before leaving the venue by 1.30pm.

10.30am – Registration closed and graduands can take their assigned seat.
10.45am – Your Briefing / All guests must be seated.
11am – Ceremony commences with the Academic Procession.
12.30pm – Ceremony concludes with the Academic Procession.
12.30pm – Refreshments & Photography commence.
1.30pm – Refreshments and Photography concludes, and all regalia must be returned.
2pm – Close; all graduates and guests must exit the venue.

11:00am Doors open for Graduand & Guest registration, Graduand Gowning & Pre- Ceremony Photography
1:30pm All Graduands must be gowned & seated – REGISTRATION CLOSED and photography concludes until after the ceremony
1:55pm Graduand briefing / All guests must be seated
2:00pm Ceremony commences, Academic Procession
3:25pm Ceremony concludes, Academic Recession
3:30 – 4:30pm Post ceremony celebration
3:35pm Post ceremony photography commences; Graduates who had photography pre ceremony or not wanting photography are welcome to return their regalia
4:20pm Post ceremony Photography concludes and all regalia must have been returned
4:30pm Close – all graduates and guests must exit the venue
Graduand Registration:
All graduands must register at the registration desk upon arrival at the venue. You will receive your seat number and further instructions.
Please note: Graduands cannot take their bags or any personal items into the ceremony, these items can be left with your guests.
Academic Dress Collection:
Regalia will be available for collection from the venue on the day of the event and must be collected no later specified in the schedule above
Photography:
Professional Photography will be available before and after the ceremony
Guests:
Guest tickets are ordered when graduands reserve their regalia and register to attend the ceremony. No additional guest tickets are available on the day.
Academic Dress Return:
Graduands are required to return their academic dress before leaving the venue. All academic dress must be returned before the graduate leaves the venue
Post Ceremony Celebration:
Light refreshments will be served after the ceremony.
Schedule:
3pm- Doors Open for graduand registration; you will collect and wear your regalia.
4pm- Graduand group rehearsal photography.
5:15pm- Doors open for guests.
5:45pm- Guests to be seated.
6pm- Ceremony commences with the Academic Procession.
8:30pm- Ceremony concludes with the Academic Procession
8:35pm- Refreshments and Photography commences.
8:35pm- Refreshments and Photography concludes.
9.30pm- Close; regalia to be returned and all graduates and guests must exit the venue.

1.45pm Graduands proceed to hall for briefing
2.10pm Guests enter the hall to be seated
2.30pm Ceremony commences

Graduand Registration:
All graduands must register at the registration desk upon arrival at the venue. You will receive your seat number and further instructions.
Please note: Graduands cannot take their bags or any personal items into the ceremony, these items can be left with your guests or in the cloakroom provided at the venue.
Academic Dress Collection:
Regalia will be available for collection from the venue on the day of the event and must be collected no later than 1.30pm.
Photography:
Professional Photography will be available before and after the ceremony.
Guests:
Your guests are invited to arrive by 2.00pm. All guests must have a ticket. Guest tickets will be checked at the entrance to the venue.
Academic Dress Return:
Graduands are required to return their academic dress before leaving the venue. All academic dress must be returned by 5.00pm at the lastest.
Post Ceremony Celebration:
To celebrate your graduation a variety of light refreshments will be served at the following the ceremony.
